I have been wondering about that question now for over three months. I opened a website called wwww.amputeehelper.com – I signed up for adwords put a banner ad on a website that is ranked 1 or 2 and waited for visitors. Very few  have come so far. About 600 visitors.

There was no pressure put to bear for any amputees to go to the site but you would think that everyone of us would at least visit the site once – just to see what it is all about.

My questions are these:

1. Are amputees too sick to visit?

2. Are amputees too broke to afford a computer.

3. The estimates of the number of amputees is too high?

4. Amputees have no interest in their health?

5. Are amputees just too lazy?

According to the keyword search tools 120,000 visit the name ‘amputee’ per month in Google  What gives here then?

or the final question is – are the the visitors just sicko devotees.

I don’t know why … every time I say Hi Guys I have this strong inclination to say Hi Gals as well BUT I also think that when I am talking to fellow amputees guys is acceptable for everyone.

I recently became a member of lessthanfour.org

This site is great. It allows amputees to connect to each other on a personal basis. The Heather McCartny and the Amputee forum are much more regulated and although they try to reach out to amputees the amputees themselves don’t really connect.

So join up. It is worth it.
